It was a night of fun at the Emirates as Arsenal clash with FC Cologne was postponed over rowdy funs from the Germany side. Following the news that 20,000 Koln fans had taken to the streets of London, a number of issues arose around the Emirates to cause the delay – namely a vast amount Koln fans without tickets and the presence of away supporters in some home sections of the ground.
Arsenal still won despite of the fact that the Arsenal manager feared the game could be canceled they later played and Arsenal won.
Alexis Sanchez’s fine strike in the 67th minutehelped Arsenal to a 3-1 win over Cologne in their Europa League Group H tie, after the match was delayed by an hour for crowd safety reasons. Other goals came fron Sead Kolasinac in the 49th minute, Sanchez 67 and Hector Bellerin in the 82nd minute. Cologne’s only goal was scored by Cordoba in the first half.
Arsenal play Chelsea on Sunday in the Premier league.
