Geoffrey Massa is the frequent name most commentators have said every time the national football team the Cranes have played at Namboole.
After 12 years of dedicated service, consistent hard work, Massa has decided to retire from the National football team the Cranes.
The announcement came at a time when most fans had come out to express their concerns about Massa’s retirement.
Massa points out that captaining the National team at the recently concluded Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon was his proudest moment.
“Having captained the Cranes at Afcon which is my proudest moment I feel I have served and it’s my time to go,” read part of the statement released by Massa.
With Massa out of the team the captains arm band will now be worn by Denis Onyango who has been the assistant captain of the Uganda Cranes.
