Vipers Sports Club picked up a third straight victory at the new St. Mary’s Stadium after they dispatched Proline 3-0 on Tuesday afternoon.
Brian Nkuubi opened the scoring with a brilliant header off a corner in the 14th minute and 3 minutes later Mike Sserumagga lobbed the ball over Proline goalkeeper Saidi Kenyi to make it 2-0.
It was evident that the Vipers had sacked the life out of the Proline midfeild making it easier for them to control play and after the break Brian Nkubi struck from outside the box to make it 3-0 with a slight deflection enroute to goal.
Proline coach Mujib Kasule blamed the result on better ball use which he reasoned Vipers used more.
“They used the ball more and better, we didn’t and they were a better side,” said Mujib after the game.
The win took Vipers to 35 points and are in 3rd position while Proline are 8th.
